Seller wants to use different postal method

I've bought a handbag from a seller with good reviews

They say they've been to post it via evri today but don't want to use them, as there were packages all over the floor, and she's worried it'll get lost

She said she'll post via Royal Mail instead and will cover the cost difference

Is that ok / safe? As I won't then get tracking deets through Vinted

It's an expensive bag so I'm not sure if that's ok or not

I would use Royal Mail 100 times over rather than bloody Evri! Far more chance of getting your item!

The seller can still give you a tracking number. Royal Mail do that too.

I wouldn't, you could ask the seller to cancel the sale on vinted and then relist for you adding Royal Mail as a sending option so you then get tracking number through vinted.

No. This is setting you up to be scammed. If you’ve selected Evri just tell her to use it. I you are covered that way. If she wants to use Royal Mail the sale needs to be cancelled and started again so it is properly tracked through Vinted and you are protected as a buyer.

I would agree to a different courier if the seller makes sure it is all documented on Vinted. Might need to relist the item or add Royal Mail as a postage option.
