It looks boring/bland. It will also be filthy in five minutes and, unless you have a huge room, it will make your living room look cramped.

TizerorFizz · 01/12/2023 23:23

Some of us have big rooms! We also keep upholstery clean! It’s a lovely sofa. It’s quite deep so will need cushions.

Do you have farm animals living in your home?

FreshWinterMorning · 01/12/2023 23:27

Not for me. Too pale. And I couldn't lean back and relax as it's too low at the back.

Aquamarine1029 · 01/12/2023 23:28

I'm not sure I would like the high sides at the ends.

Gro · 01/12/2023 23:35

I would prefer a couple of smaller sofas. People like arm rests!

KissTheRains · 01/12/2023 23:45

I like it. But I've a dog and black cat so I couldn't have it.

Skip the rest of my post cause it's waffle.

But, I will never ever ever ever buy a sofa based on pictures ever ever again.

We got a sofa online, looked amazing and cost a pretty penny. When ot came,.the guys set it up and left. I sat on it... And hated it.. 🤣

The back wasn't cushioned, it had cushions, but little small ones. The seat was too deep from front to back and even though I've got long legs, I felt like a toddler with my feet dingle dangling off the edge and the final straw, the arms.. too high to lie on comfortably.

So I couldn't loll back, scatterback.
I couldn't sit comfortably, too deep and dangly legs.
I couldn't lie down, crick in the neck.

Tolerated that damn sofa until the ex left and took the bastard thing.

Thank you! This sofa is for me and DH 'zen' room (meaning the kids are not allowed to play in there or bring toys or paint).

I think it's lovely and looks really comfy. If you have a strict no food, pets or children rule, it should stay clean. It would look stunning in a room with navy walls.

I love every shade of blue. Great idea.

It looks so comfy! I'd love this. I would pile on lots of colorful pillows.

WaddyDarbucks · 02/12/2023 01:22

Looks fairly nice, bit hard to make out the cushion fabric - is it boucle as that would look good in that colour. Stylistically it’s perhaps not low and chunky enough to best suit the legless style, and would maybe look more elegant with at least some length of leg. Perhaps try looking on the Camerich site as they’re quite good for large L shapes.

Lifestooshort71 · 02/12/2023 05:40

Are you able to sit on one before buying? Good looks aren't as important as comfort particularly if it is for an adult chill-out zone.

User136921 · 02/12/2023 05:53

I personally wouldn't as it has a low back, I prefer higher back but apart from that it looks fine

Pinkpinkpink15 · 02/12/2023 06:41

It looks ok, but I wouldn't buy it myself. I like good solid arms that you can lean on comfortably and not thin & high.

these days I'd find it too deep as my knees are fucjed & I can't curl up anymore. Curling up probably contributed to my knees. Being fucked up. I dog sit for my friend as her sofa is deep, it's now so uncomfortable to get enough cushions in the right place to be comfortable.

no way can I buy a sofa without sitting on it.

whatchagonnado · 02/12/2023 06:48

Not for me. I personally wouldn't exclude kids from a room because of the sofa.

User136921 · 02/12/2023 07:02

You would have to probably lay on it, I'm not sure it would be comfortable to sit on, it looks nice but sadly the comfiest sofas are often those that look a bit old fashioned rather than a large low backed piece like that.

She's not excluding children because of the sofa. She is saying she doesn't have to consider children getting paint etc on it because that's not going to be the purpose of the room.

OliviaFlaversham · 02/12/2023 07:23

I like the colour but…

The separate seat and back for each section could get annoying-looks as though it wouldn’t stay in place well.

The backs are too low to be comfortable.

I dislike the ends-look like booth sides.

Oh - we have a snug which I called the 'no lego room' ... guess who spends most time there!!

Sofa - definitely try it out! The back seems very short. We have something similar in our lounge and it's a nice sofa but I'd also worry about the colour, ours is dark blue but we still cover it in throws (big floofy dog and 3 cats!)
We have a grey cuddle chair in our snug which now also has throws draped on it ... DD managed to get pen on the arm rest 😵 so bought grey arm covers ... not going for a light colour again

I have a similar colour in the front room.
Got it 2nd hand few years ago
Still perfectly clean.
Leather, so easier to clean than cloth.

whatchagonnado · 02/12/2023 08:14

@savoycabbage Yeah, but how are you going to keep them out. By making it a no-go zone. That's not what family life is all about imo. All families operate differently though.

SpringIntoChaos · 02/12/2023 08:15

It looks very uncomfortable to me...I'd not be able to relax on it I'm afraid 🤷‍♀️

GreatGateauxsby · 02/12/2023 08:18

Sofa is nice. Colour is fine/versatile imo.

But the backs look low....

I speak from experience when I say it's desperately uncomfortable. I am stuck with two wretched sofas that look fabe but are uncomfortable AF. We are waiting until youngest is 3-4 to rid ourseyof them as they are perfectly useable and mega practical as leather.

WhichIsItWendy · 02/12/2023 08:36

I don't like it. The pads don't look like they'll stay comfy for long and I'm not a fan of the very structured look.

In all honesty, to me, it looks like style over substance which always puts me off.

Also, if you wear jeans be careful the dye doesn't run.

Lots of better sofas out there imo.
