Anyone tried this? Goes on purple then you wipe off to reveal the lipstain.

Nope, but curious about it so I'm bumping your thread!
I'd like a strong red colour that lasts as well as a more natural rosy shade for day to day. They have a good range of colours so just want to know whether the stain is strong, is it/does it go patchy and does it last the promised 10 hours?

I've seen some very poor reviews, I was interested until I saw them

Yes, I have this in the shade "desire" (I think) which is quite a bright red.

It clings to any tiny bit of dry skin on the lip, which then makes it look patchy. You need to be really careful with it. I'm a religious user of Aquaphor lip repair, and before using the lip tint I will exfoliate my lips with a scrub and then a microfiber cloth, but sometimes, it will still end up patchy... regardless of how smooth my lips feel... and it's almost impossible to remove once it's on.

When I put it on I build it up in quick layers, so putting it on, and then wiping off almost immediately and repeating this until I get the desired colour. I find this generally helps avoid the patchiness, vs the method of putting it on and leaving to dry fully before removing (also it does NOT peel off when dry).

With the red shade I have, I usually top with a NARS red tinted balm (which is quite pigmented for a balm but not as much as a lipstick) which looks great and makes it look a bit more "done" and keeps them moisturised. Otherwise it has a tendency to look a bit like I've actually had my lips microbladed and they are still healing 😂, but this might be just the particular shade I got as it is one of the bolder shades. I actually like using a tinted balm over the top and I've worn this combo out to eat many times and my lips stay looking good throughout eating and drinking (which I can't say about any other red lipstick I own). And I can top up now and again with the balm easily without needing a mirror as there's a good foundation of colour from the lip stain, so I just whack a bit more balm in the centre of my lips.

I also like the fact you can slightly over line your lips with it and it will give you a nice naturally looking fuller lip (as long as you go easy and don't over
line by a huge amount).

On balance I like it, and would actually like to try it in a more "my lips but better" shade at some point. As I don't generally like wearing a really bold lip out and about in the "everyday" and so the one I have I usually only use if I'm getting dressed up and going out in the evening.

I got mine on Amazon on sale. I'm not sure I'd pay full price for it.

yes I have several, some just a light tint and some very bold. I keep it on a bit longer and it really lasts hours and hours.
