Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

Happy opening everybody, enjoy!

@GlomOfNit I've seen loads on vinted.

BlowingAway · 04/12/2023 08:51

Happy with this moisturiser, spf always good!

greencheetah · 04/12/2023 09:33

Very happy with today’s moisturiser.

Houseplanter · 04/12/2023 10:09

Let's hope todays moisturiser isn't toooo tempting as it's going to be £60 to buy a full size one.

That's a bit too £££ for me

NeedWineNow · 04/12/2023 10:09

I'm liking today's opening. It's not a brand I've tried before and just put a little on the back of my hand. It feels lovely. I've got quite sensitive skin on my face so will try a patch test first but if all is well I will drop it in my holiday bag as it's a good size.

itsnothingoriginal · 04/12/2023 10:31

Not a bad size product today given that Murad is eyewateringly expensive!!

This is really nice and I've had it before - very good for those with sensitive skin and reactive to SPF in a moisturizer

CointreauVersial · 04/12/2023 13:15

Checking in.....I have bought the M&S calendar every year since it first came out, and it's a strong start to the 2023 version.

Lippy is excellent - I'm wearing it now. It's a very subtle version of sparkle/metallic, but a great nude colour for every day.

Hair oil I've used before (I have fine, shoulder-length hair) and it's good. Not the best I've used, but makes my hair soft and swishy.

Nuxe - like others, I am never quite sure what to do with it, but it's lovely rubbed into dry arms/legs. It's a bit too oily for my hair, unless I use it as a pre-wash treatment.

Vit C moisturiser - perfect timing, as I'm just coming to the end of my current one. The SPF level is sufficient for winter use, but I would add more protection in the summer.

Roll On Tomorrow!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 04/12/2023 13:52

Just back from a hospital appt. It's bloody awful out there. Even though I know what's 'behind the door' today, I'm really excited as I've saved it to open with a cuppa. Love Murad stuff anyway so feels like such a treat.

Spirini · 04/12/2023 14:25

I used the hair oil on Saturday morning, quickly dried it but then re-styled it with the ghd later that day before I went out for the evening. My hair looked great and I haven't needed to wash it since!

That's amazing for me because I need to wash my hair every day but I don't because I couldn't be arsed.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 04/12/2023 14:56

I'd have preferred a different Murad product as I'm very happy with my usual moisturiser & SPF (Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream & Beauty Pie Tinted SPF)

I'll keep this as a back up or do a swap.

On previous M&S Beauty Advent threads we've done swaps after Christmas with the products we don't use/want.
So happy to do this again if anyone else wants to after every thing in the calendar is open?

TokyoSushi · 04/12/2023 15:23

My skin is usually quite oily, but feels much less so today with the Murad on, shame it's ££££ or I'd probably re-purchase!

Very happy with today's. Also tried the hair oil today after so many good reviews on here (I'm cautious with hair products as so many make my hair look greasy) - pleasantly surprised with it so thank you for providing good feedback on it 😁

Lemonademoney · 04/12/2023 20:27

Very happy with todays offering

IReallyMissPrince · 04/12/2023 21:00

Happy with the Murad cream. I’ll try it out tomorrow.

15PiecesOfFlair · 04/12/2023 21:23

Bums. I was in two minds about getting the m&s this year, it's the best beauty one for the price but I never use up the stuff they put in every year so decided against it. Now wishing I had, as the lipstick and Murad look good already!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/12/2023 07:08

Today’s is the first I won’t use. Have had one of these before and imo it’s horrible stuff. I hate the smell and texture and it’s really drying on me.

weyaye · 05/12/2023 07:14

Same,today's isn't for me.

ItsTapasTime · 05/12/2023 07:19

I’m not usually a fan of lip gloss, but I’ve just tried this on. It has a minty taste and your lips start to tingle once applied. The colour is nice and there is a glossy sheen to it. Not sure it has plumped them - will try again and report back.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 05/12/2023 07:23

Ooh, I'm usually a big fan of a minty, tingly lip gloss. Used to have an Urban Decay one that I adored. Haven't tried this one yet (don't know what brand it is, haven't opened, still in bed) so will be interested to see.

ItsTapasTime · 05/12/2023 07:26

@RainbowZebraWarrior its Pixi (no, me neither 😀). Good reviews although most have been collected through a promotion. Sells at £12!

ExpensiveDecorations · 05/12/2023 07:32

I liked yesterday’s too, perfect for winter use, I am still using up some factor 50 but will move onto this as soon as that’s finished.

Lipglosses I’m not keen on, my hair always seems to get stuck in them and I rarely wear it up in winter. But if it’s minty I might give it away without trying, I hate mint.

ApolloandDaphne · 05/12/2023 07:42

I'm not a fan of lip gloss. I've offered it up to my DDs.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 05/12/2023 07:49

Ooo I like todays! It's a lip gloss by 'Pixie by Petra' and tingly when applied. Doesn't have much colour once on and gives a nice subtlety glossy look.

I also tried yesterday's moisturiser this morn and I really like it. It's all a hit with me this calendar so far!!

Have used todays, I quite like it! Still loving yesterday's Murad, that's my star so far!

I'm pleased with today's, it looks good on, and the mintyness is nice too

Used yesterday's moisturiser and it's left me quite shiny, not sure about that. Can't be bothered with foundation today, so will have to live with it!

I use dcypher drops, I wonder how they would be with the murad. Might try tomorrow.
