M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2023 Opening Thread

Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

Tiny funnel, glitter for nails ( hence the tiny funnel) mascara that managed to glue your lashes together and slide off them.........and The Cats Paw for scale of measurement in photos

I had no idea what takes was cos my glasses are downstairs lol. The writing is TINY! Looks like an overnight lip mask though, I can read it now I've taken a photo and zoomed in 🤣 I'll def use this as I always put on lots of lip balm overnight!

Happy to try this although as another PP has said it looks to be a glorified lip balm. Not keen on these kind of squeeze containers as the product hardens up when it's cold and it's a PITA to get it out.

Today's is ok I suppose. But it is probably just another lip balm & I swear by good old Vaseline which always keeps my lips soft & moisturised.

I was hoping for a mascara but hey ho!

I might put this in DD's stocking.

I'm pleased with today's. I've never tried an overnight lip balm before so look forward to trying it.

Happy with this one. I've tried lots of lip balms as my lips are a real problem but not this one.. and if it's good it can replace the pricey Elizabeth Arden one I usually resort to.

I've never tried this brand so happy with today's as I like something different to try. I did have to enlarge the writing and see that it can be used as a daily lipbalm or overnight mask so will be trying today as my lips feel quite dry at the moment. Did have to really squeeze the tube to get anything out when I tried a minute bit on my hand. Hopefully it will warm up and be easier to get out.

I just squeezed mine to try it and the other end split so half the product has come out! I don't find the regular Dr Paw Paw good for my dry lips so not holding out much hope for this either

Can take or leave today’s but will probably stick it in a coat pocket for when I’m too lazy to get my usual one out of my bag!

I just tried it and it was really hard to squeeze out the tube. Doesn't smell or taste of anything either. Will put it on overnight and see how it goes!

This is actually this first I dislike! My lips were actually fine, but I popped a bit on to try it out...a few hours later my lips were dried and flakey!

I passed it to teen daughter, thinking it may just have reacted with my skin type...only for her to say the same!

I don't like red nail polish but that's just me, it looks quite nice for red though, it will go in the charity bag as they accept unopened cosmetics

I don’t mind the red polish, and my lips do feel better after using yesterday’s product overnight.

Anyone else a bit disappointed with the Ren cleanser? It’s so runny.

I don't often use red polish but today's is a lovely colour and the quality of the Nails inc polishes is very good. I've been wearing gold since Saturday and it hasn't chipped at all.

Agree the Ren cleanser is a bit of a disappointment. Happy enough with a red polish. I'll stick it on during a boring Teams meeting today.

My first disappointment & a big sigh when I opened the box.

I am not a fan of red nail varnish & I am getting my gel nails done tomorrow in time for Christmas so this isn't for me.

Not what I would usually wear at all but very pleased with it nonetheless.

The sort of thing someone else had to buy me before I realised I liked it.

I like red nail polish so happy with this. 5 more days to get a mascara and eye cream I’m hoping for. This was a gift and I didn’t want to spoil it so don’t know what’s coming!
