Roll up, roll up, there doesn't seem to be an M&S thread that we can find yet, so please join in to discuss here!

General rules: please don't disclose what the product is until after 7am on the day that it's due to be opened. No spoilers, if you want to open in a different order then go ahead, but please only discuss the product on or after its specific opening date here!

Happy opening everybody, enjoy!

I love today's too. L'Occitane stuff is very nice!

For the overall calendar, I think it's such great value. I never look so it's all surprising and of course some better than others but that's just part of the fun. I always use the ones I won't use at little extra stocking fillers. My teenage son with longish hair will get all the PK stuff 😊

Ilikeyoursleeves · 18/12/2023 07:35

Oooo todays is excellent! Great size (75ml) and lovely smelling L'Occitane hand cream in cherry. I've just tried it and it's easily absorbed and not sticky etc. v happy!

Such nice packaging too! Happy with today’s.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 18/12/2023 08:26

Really happy with today. Gorgeous packaging, lovely scent and full size!!!

ApolloandDaphne · 18/12/2023 08:32

Nice one today. I will put it in my DMs stocking as she loves handcream.

PowerTulle · 18/12/2023 08:49

I’ve enjoyed all of it so far! Lots of nice things to try. At least two I’ll go back and buy again in full size.

Today’s is going straight in my bag. Lovely scent.

Buster27 · 18/12/2023 09:10

I have loads of hand cream so wouldn't normally be that happy getting more, but I love cherry blossom so I am!

TokyoSushi · 18/12/2023 09:14

Agree, lovely one today!

Very pleased with today's - L'Occitane hand cream is the BEST, and I get through a lot of the stuff during the winter.

Tangomango1 · 18/12/2023 09:30

Very happy with today's handcream!

I have used some straight away & it smells lovely. A fab size too & just what I needed on a gloomy Monday morning.

NashvilleQueen · 18/12/2023 09:33

Even taking the actual price, rather than the value, it's still very poor value for money for me so far as there are only three things that I will use, although I realise that this might change over the next few days.

I do think if there's only three things you will use so far then your taste and standards are way higher than M&S can possibly hope to deliver for £45. That's absolutely not a criticism by the way just an observation that you probably like more expensive or eclectic brands.

I've not been bowled over every day but a little something by Nuxe, Murad, l'occitane, Clinique etc is ok by me for the overall price.

NeedWineNow · 18/12/2023 09:33

Very happy with today’s. Love the L’Occitane hand creams.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 18/12/2023 10:23

❤️ todays as I get through tonnes of hand cream.

Although I opened this box accidentally on the 8th so knew it was a good one! > note to wear my specs when opening at 6am by tree light! <

JulesJules · 18/12/2023 10:29

Love this one today, and I think I might keep it for me - mostly I use the advent cal as stocking fillers for the DDs but I have already bought the l'Occitane cracker set to give them two crackers each in their stockings.

I think this calendar is OK so far an definitely worth the £45 but I'm also reading the JL Cal thread vicariously and definitely have advent envy! Maybe next year...

MrsRuldolph · 18/12/2023 10:31

This will be an excellent gift for one of our teachers! They are constantly washing their hands in the reception class, so will really be useful.

JulesJules · 18/12/2023 10:31

Also today is my birthday so I feel quite entitled to keep this one for myself before I start on my mammoth to do list, haha

15PiecesOfFlair · 18/12/2023 12:53

Who remembers the House of Fraser calendar? Might be worth revisiting that thread if you're a bit disillusioned with the m&s one!

weyaye · 18/12/2023 13:05

I'm really happy with the hand cream, will leave it until I use up what I have open though.
I tried the dry oil today and I love it, also love the tiny serum we got.

northbacchus · 18/12/2023 13:22

Today's smells lovely. Out of my budget for hand cream but lovely to try, I did think it would be thicker.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 18/12/2023 17:36

Not sure if it’s because my sense of smell is dodgy because I’ve had the flu, but this smells just like Sudocreme to me!

If dd wants it, she can have it or I’ll probably pass it on to my sister. I’m an Aveda Hand Relief gal generally, after lots of trials over the years.

HaHa! - I;m sure that was a Unique One there cannot be another

Tiny funnel, glitter for nails ( hence the tiny funnel) mascara that managed to glue your lashes together and slide off them.........and The Cats Paw for scale of measurement in photos

Xmas Grin

Many , many Drawers of Doom.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 18/12/2023 19:58

I'm absolutely delighted with today's - I was a bit disappointed because I forgot to open the box this morning and accidentally saw on my watched threads that it was handcream, which I generally don't use.

Except for this exact handcream! Which is fabulous and a rare indulgence of mine that I have a mental argument with myself about buying more of every time I run out!

Lemonademoney · 18/12/2023 21:11

Hooray for todays! A nice treat and I’ve just run out of the tube of hand cream I keep by my bed so this is great timing.

Snowconecanfly · 18/12/2023 21:15

grandparents have no rights t see their grandchild.
you have an ex who has denied paternity and did not offer money to support their child.

I would never send any equipment or toys if the ex had the child. Up to him to have what he needs.
