Men at the beauty salons

I see a few men at the beauty salons I use, who get pedicures, including coloured toenails, manicures and shoulder, neck and back massages.

It, to me, is fine to see.

Why do some people still feel it odd?

Who finds it odd op?

I mentioned pedicures to a few men, perhaps a bit old fashioned, who were surprised men get treatments like those.

Partly a generational thing, partly a heteronormative thing, partly a lack of exposure (my dad would never have considered that a straight man would get a beauty treatment… he just doesn’t know any that would!).

I don't think it's odd at all I know plenty of men who go occasionally.
