I had posted a while ago about their stuff being crap quality, but needed something specific so ordered a few items from them to try on at home.

Didnt like any of it (crap quality!) and returned it to store. Store assistant refunded me.

have been waiting a couple of weeks for the refund, nothing can’t through. Woke up to an email Monday morning saying the items were being sent back to me because they have been worn?!

So confused since I had only tried them on at home for minutes at a time and the cashier had accepted them in store.

the parcel comes back today and it looks fine apart from one item. Someone has ripped the paper label off and cut off the fabric Zara tag! Definitely not me, and definitely was there when I was returning as the cashier was checking it all.

the other two items are in perfect condition.

I phone customer service and ask what the hell js going on - apparently they smelled like perfume. But the store had already accepted the return. I’m just fuming.

I had tried them on for minutes at a time. Perhaps I did have perfume on, or perhaps it’s just because my house smells like perfume (I light a lot of candles and home fragrance etc) but I just don’t know what to do. Maybe it was the fact I took it back to return in store in a reusable bag and something perfumery transferred from that? Anyway, I have smelled all the clothes, the lining in particular and nothing smells like perfume, it just smells like new clothes and cardboard. The three items came to $250 and I am SO annoyed.

please does anyone have any advise? If I was back in the U.K. I would know what to do but I’m in the U.S. now and haven’t a clue how to handle this. All I got from customer service is ‘there is nothing more we can do’. I have never had an issue returning anything from Zara, tbh most of the stuff on the rails in store is COVERED in make up and god knows what so I am SO annoyed at this.

Absolutely shocking.. but sadly not surprising, I have had similar bad experiences with Zara and would never buy from them online again. Maybe name and shame on their social media?

That's absolutely SHOCKING. I have no idea what to suggest though I'm afraid, although I would try returning them in person again, in particular the items that still had labels on. L
I remember returning something to Topshop as a teen, a big queue of people behind me and the lady said the jeans felt wet and they've been washed! I was so embarrassed I'd literally just tried them on at home and she was blatantly lying so she did have to refund me. As if it's coming out of their bloody pockets x

You could try and use twitter to tweet them. Its public so it might shame them a bit

The problem is that nobody will see it on their Twitter, and Zara is such a big brand that they won't care. And also they already have bad reviews. I really don't know what to do when brands do things like this. Because they don't care at all....

Thanks all. I have a feeling there will be nothing more I can do - I have called customer service 4 times, asked to put in a complaint and been told someone will call me back so i can do so but they haven’t. I just keep getting emails from them saying the decision is final.

I had live chat hang up on me when I tried to put in a complaint too. M

Absolutely shocking. I hate Zara!

I gave up on them years ago. Website is dreadful, in store experience isn't great and I've never got the hype - the quality of the clothes is awful, on a par with H&M and Primark.
