I had posted a while ago about their stuff being crap quality, but needed something specific so ordered a few items from them to try on at home.
Didnt like any of it (crap quality!) and returned it to store. Store assistant refunded me.
have been waiting a couple of weeks for the refund, nothing can’t through. Woke up to an email Monday morning saying the items were being sent back to me because they have been worn?!
So confused since I had only tried them on at home for minutes at a time and the cashier had accepted them in store.
the parcel comes back today and it looks fine apart from one item. Someone has ripped the paper label off and cut off the fabric Zara tag! Definitely not me, and definitely was there when I was returning as the cashier was checking it all.
the other two items are in perfect condition.
I phone customer service and ask what the hell js going on - apparently they smelled like perfume. But the store had already accepted the return. I’m just fuming.
I had tried them on for minutes at a time. Perhaps I did have perfume on, or perhaps it’s just because my house smells like perfume (I light a lot of candles and home fragrance etc) but I just don’t know what to do. Maybe it was the fact I took it back to return in store in a reusable bag and something perfumery transferred from that? Anyway, I have smelled all the clothes, the lining in particular and nothing smells like perfume, it just smells like new clothes and cardboard. The three items came to $250 and I am SO annoyed.
please does anyone have any advise? If I was back in the U.K. I would know what to do but I’m in the U.S. now and haven’t a clue how to handle this. All I got from customer service is ‘there is nothing more we can do’. I have never had an issue returning anything from Zara, tbh most of the stuff on the rails in store is COVERED in make up and god knows what so I am SO annoyed at this.
