Eyelash serum and breastfeeding

Treated myself to some eyelash serum - however, label advises not to use if pregnant or breastfeeding. I’m still breastfeeding my toddler (but only every few days). Any thoughts, please? I probably wouldn’t use anything like this with a newborn and know that companies err on the edge of caution, so just thought I’d see if anyone could advise? TIA.

I assume it has a prostaglandin analogue in the INCI, hence the warning. In its use as a medication for glaucoma the risk to an infant when breastfeeding is considered negligible.

Obviously that's a risk assessment based on treating a medical condition, you'll have to asses for yourself whether it's worth the risk in your situation, it does appear to pass through the milk but in very tiny amounts and that's when in medication form where concentrations are likely much higher.

There are eyelash serums without prostaglandin analogues that do work, but they're a bit more random in how effective they are per individual. I use a PA free one by Sweed and it works brilliantly for me but it doesn't perform like that for everyone. I switched over to PA free less so on the back of the scaremongering and moreso on that I anticipate there will be legislation limiting the use of the PA ones as they're sort of in a grey area between cosmetic and medication at the moment.
