Eyebrow Make Up - during chemo

1stWorldProblems · 29/11/2023 11:55

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer & beginning to lose my eyebrows (which are naturally quite dark & defined so I don't usually need make up on them). Can't use microblading so looking for recommendations for eyebrow make-up - pencils or pens please? There's so much choice so I don't know where to start. Thanks

Has your hospital got a "look good, feel better" scheme? You are eligible. They will show you how to do your make up with this sort of issue plus you get some freebies given to you. Just a thought x

Search eBay for Eyebrows Tattoo Real Look Sticker False Eyebrow Waterproof Stick On Makeup - absolutely brilliant for me!

Sorry to hear about you needing chemo, and I hope you have a full and quick recovery.
Something like this Rimmel London | Brow Pro Micro 24HR Precision-Stroke Brow Liner Pen - Boots. I've not tried it but their waterproof eyeliner is great

It's trial & error but from experience I'd say the small, fine pencils are better as easier to control & build up gradually, & remove if you go wrong. I splashed out an expensive one as I wanted a treat for having to be on chemo! But the Maybelline micro brow pencil is good for everyday. Some bigger Boots stores have Macmillan trained beauty staff on No 7 counters you could ask & you may get freebies, or ask at any make up counter if you're confident enough!

There are more around than ever so you have a decent choice OP

The Anastasia ones are always really popular

I'd try either Anastasia, Fenty, Revolution or Morphe

All are wax based with the thinnest tips and good colour range

Boots has all of these in stock and also try Superdrug

Thanks for the product recommendations. I did the "Look Good Feel Better" workshop & it was very useful but the free eyebrow product I received in my goodie bag was a powder pen for thickening existing thinning brows rather than a pencil or pen for drawing on replacements.
Am glad it's winter & I don't actually need them to keep sweat out of my eyes

I second the stick on waterproof things, they are like those temporary tattoos peel one side put in place then soak with water on a cloth or sponge and peel off the paper so realistic.
