Comfy platform heels please

In an ideal world, Fitflop would branch out and make 3-4inch platform heels. Can anyone recommend a tolerable brand or pair in this current world? I think closed toe would be better as will need to wear tights.

Pre-Covid I was very comfortable in heels but now my feet can’t manage them but I would like to try again for this year’s work Christmas party.

Esska?

Mumsanetta · 28/11/2023 22:44

Ooh haven’t come across Esska before, they look nice. Are they comfy?

I don't have the platform sandals but a lower pair. I ordered and sent back the platforms several times and they seemed comfy.

Monsoon

Just ordered and received a pair of Esska Charlies. Soooooo comfortable.

heybearx · 28/11/2023 23:23

Absolutely live my Esska, well worth investing x

I was reading an article in one of the Sunday magazines about Sole Bliss, apparently they're very comfortable and come in lots of colours, also worn by Queen Camilla, Helen Mirren, Julia Roberts and Olivia Coleman

I got some Eska Charlie's too and they are some of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. I had a big foot injury a few years' ago and have not been able to tolerate heels. But these Charlie's are different and so comfortable and beautiful. I may ask for another pair for Christmas as there are so many cool colours

Looks like I’m buying a pair of Esska shoes!

I have these, the taryn heel when you open link, because they have a wedge at the front your foot isn’t steep if that makes sense, not sure how to describe it , but they are the comfiest going out shoes I’ve ever had , I can wear them all night and they don’t hurt my feet, So I would suggest heels with a wedge under the front of your foot

Ordered a pair of the Charlie mid heels in Onyx. Tempted by the high heel but think baby steps are good.

They are lovely.

My shoes arrived and omg it’s like walking on air! I’ve only tried them on indoors but I know they’re comfy. So of course now I’m debating returning them and getting the high heel version, oh what to do.

They are stunning. I would keep them as you are confident in them. The other heels are quite a bit higher! Is there anywhere you can try them on to see? They are sold at Oliver Bonas and Anthropologie. If you are in London, you can go to Esska's main shop in Richmond.

wondabar · 02/12/2023 06:37

Also, you may want to buy something called open toe tights. I got some and they are great as you can keep your legs warm but have your toes on display.

mimiasovitch · 02/12/2023 06:42

I adore the Charlies but the Valeries tore my heels to shreds. I should probably have returned them for a smaller size, but was impatient and now have all the regrets.

Mumsanetta · 02/12/2023 08:28

@wondabar i have an Oliver Bonas and Anthropologie near me so excellent idea, thank you!

Decided to return the Esska Charlie’s- the heel is too chunky and doesn’t flatter my legs. Ordered a pair of Sole Bliss Ruby heels as they have a slimmer heel and are a tiny bit higher and also a pair of the Pandora court shoes. Fingers crossed. I do wish I wasn’t such a fusspot!
