Flat ankle boots- still chunky?

My flat black chunky soled Chelsea boots have died a death - sole came away and was going to cost a fortune to repair and so are no more. Terrible timing as the weather takes a turn and I’ve missed black Friday deals.

for flat ankle boots, would chunky Chelsea boots still be a good option and if so where from? Has anyone on here got some fabulous flat black boots recently?

Oh thank you @NorthFaceofthelaundrypile - are they comfy round the ankle?

Really comfy, and I have what a boyfriend once described as “chunky ankles!”
I’m actually considering getting another pair and putting them away, as I’m sure I’ll have the same sole problems eventually, and I love them so much.
They get so much wear that I’ve spent ages looking for a more expensive pair that would last longer, but nothing has come close in terms of how I want them to look.

Can I ask what jeans you wear with these boots. I'm struggling so much to buy boots, I'm small in height, slightly pear shaped but slim ish and wear boyfriend jeans or straight leg jeans or flares. Literally non of my jeans suit this kind of boot and I can't find any that are suitable. Aaargh

I tend to wear them with barrel shaped, slightly cropped, jeans, which I think work best. They are long enough to come up under the bottom of the jeans.
Some time with slim fit jeans turned up a little.
I also like them with a longer skirt or dress.
