Help me choose a parka

Hi,

looking for a warm and practical coat for the school runs. Must be at least knee length if not longer and black. I’ve given up on puffer coats and quilted coats as I can’t find anything I like. Most of them just look too bulky. So I’m now looking at parkas but a lot of them seem quite shapeless. Budget up to £300. Thinking about this one as I’m hoping the drawstring waist will help me not look like a sack of potatoes but open to other suggestions:

If you want warm and practical, I'd go for a brand like Didriksons over a high street one like Joules to be honest. Especially as you have a fairly good budget.

For example - (totally waterproof and windproof as well as being very warm)

Florence Womens Extra Long Padded Jacket | Mountain Warehouse GB

I just got this one. Lightly padded so not bulky, warm and half price. And it's LONG which is wanted as i'm tall!

I also recommend Didriksons - warm, waterproof and really well made. The one I have has a drawstring at the waist although I never use it.

I like the Didriksons Mia parka but I just don’t like branding on clothing and all didriksons coats have it :(

I just got a Barbour Mersea which is warm, waterproof and comes down to my knees
