Need foundation recommendations

Previously I used No7 beautifully matte foundation in shade Cool Vanilla but I really don’t like the new formula, it doesn’t match my skin/complexion at all.

does anyone who used to use no7 and then moved on to something different have any recommendations?

I don’t wear foundation often but with the festive period coming up and a few nights out already booked, I would like to have a foundation I am comfortable wearing.

I shifted reluctantly from no7 to nars….the price difference is considerable.
But also the NARS stuff is amazing. I’m similarly as white as a ghost, but cool toned, so foundation with yellow as a base really makes me look ill and has a 90’s mismatch thing where my neck becomes a different colour from my face. No7 was so close.
The NARS stuff matches perfectly:
no7 is about £16, NARS is £38.
It was painful.

That does sound a huge difference for something I won’t use much 😔 but thank you for the recommendation, I’ll keep it in mind!

I use no7 lift and luminate, which seems to have stayed the same.
