Rice water

Has anyone ever tried the rice water suggestions for hair and skin?

Or even used the rice shampoo bars?

Dd1 sometimes washes her hair in rice water. She has beautiful shiny hair, I’m not sure it adds volume (which is what she wants) but it doesn’t do any harm.

I'm also interested in the rice shampoo bars. My hair can be thin at the best of times so I was wondering if this would help?
