socks that go higher up the leg

Has anyone got any ankle socks that go just a bit higher up the leg than your average pair? I don't want them to be any thicker than normal socks, just to provide slightly more leg coverage when trousers ride up in cold weather.

Please let me know brands/styles?
I'm on a fairly low budget so not designer ones please

M&S knee thermal high socks. Not very sexy but quite warm and good under calf-high boots when you don't want to wear tights.

Well now I’ve found out. And everyone I know whose present isn’t yet bought will be getting heated socks from me for Christmas.

I thought men's socks is the solution but I'm a size 5 and can't seem to find any of the right size. Maybe I'll look at boys ones!

Just google heated socks. Mostly takes you to Amazon. (Sometimes via a ‘best of’ site like Good Housekeeping.)
