'Smart' flat ankle boots?

Smart enough for a night out but basically flat. I live in chelsea boots in winter, my smartest ones have a heel, I'd rather have a flat (or almost flat) option.

Do you know of any dressier flat black ankle boots?

Do they need to be just plain black? I'm after these. Embassy do a range of fancy designs in flat and heeled styles

I have some Gabor flat black ankle boots which are really nice.

Try equestrian websites; I have a nice pair from one, flat and 'sensible' but elegant.

How about these? A bit different and not cheap but extremely comfortable . I have the pink trim/sole ones but they come in lots of different varieties including plain black.

I have these from Next, and I love them. They seem to go with everything and they are very comfy. The contrasting leather and suede sections make them a bit more special, but they might not be quite as smart as you have in mind. I will say that mine are very big fitting around the heel, not a problem for me but might not work for everyone:

I bought some patent lace up ones from Next, the laces are velvet, comfiest things ever. Sadly not leather though but I bought 3 pairs in the sale

I love VIBAe for both style and comfort. They are next-level comfortable.

I think it comes back to being a bit of a western boot with a slight heel if I want to wear with skirts. What I really want is doc marten chelseas in black But not sure they could be worn with a skirt or on a night out!

Just look for Chelsea boots. Timberland so some really lovely ones.

Equestrian (Chelsea) boots are fantastic and inexpensive (£25 ish + postage). Beautiful soft leather, so comfortable, always look great and clean up smart as a pin.
