Super soft, comfortable and pretty winter boots

I am looking for extremely comfortable winter boots with no heel that are nice enough to be worn to the office (or with dresses) though they don't need to be very formal. We have got a very casual dress code. (E.g. trainers are ok but wellies probably aren't). Ideally something with lots of soft and furry lining (but no or very little fur on the outside). My feet are very wide and a size 8. Water proof and a good sole would be a bonus but something like suede is also ok.

And ideally fairly cheap. Less than £50.

Do they exist?

I had a perfect pair years ago but I don't remember where I bought them from. I think it might have been a shop called Schuh but it doesn't exist anymore in my town. :-(

I keep seeing Laidback London on my Insta. They have very cool and pretty boots. Look at the full range.

These are beautiful. And affordable!!

Can I ask if the sole is well cushioned? And silly question but would I be able to run in them? Not as sport but I'm usually late for the school run and need to run for a few hundred metres.

Sorry just seen this! Yes to both.

Why do so many lace up ankle boots have zips on the side these days?
I just want lace ups, no zip which can rub after a time

I had a friend offer me (free) a pair of those boots. She'd bought them and then decided they weren't right after a few days' wear. They were too small for me — but I wouldn't have described them as super soft or pretty. Apart from that, they were okay boots.

It's not just the rubbing, it's a bit naff looking. Oddly the more expensive the boot, the less likely it will have a zip.

I'd have thought adding a zip was more work but maybe the lacing and tongue on zipped boots isn't functional which might reduce the work.

I think zips are quicker to pop on and off, for example when doing the school run.

Try Rieker. Very comfy boots.
