Is this coat nice?

I like it, but I tend to play safe with clothes and go for plain, classic styles. I'm also wondering if it's aimed at younger women (I'm 44).

What do you think?

Is this coat nice?

Not to my taste at all. I go for classic too, but this doesn't strike me as classic. But age has nothing to do with it.

Chicken1978 · 19/11/2023 13:52

I have one kind of similar and I’ve never loved it. However mine is reversible and looks like yours on the “inside” and I’ve not once worn it that way as it looks like I’ve put it on inside out. This one you’ve linked to looks inside out and like it would look better the other way round, yet it doesn’t appear to be reversible.

BitOutOfPractice · 19/11/2023 13:53

No. HTH.

it’s definitely not aimed at younger people.

Gowlett · 19/11/2023 13:53

If anything, I’d say an older lady would wear it.

BitOutOfPractice · 19/11/2023 13:55

And yes I agree with @Chicken1978 it looks like it’s inside out. And it’s most definitely not “classic”. Save yourself op while you still can! 😂

This older lady wouldn’t. 😂. It’s horrible.

Lentilweaver · 19/11/2023 13:56

The Borg bit looks really odd to me.

wokbun · 19/11/2023 13:57

Sorry but I'm not sure who this is aimed at. Even the model doesn't look good in it

idontlikealdi · 19/11/2023 13:57

No.

TheAbsurd · 19/11/2023 13:59

I quite like it. My first thought would be it’s not a very practical colour.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/11/2023 15:56

I don't like it at all, sorry.

And enough with the ageism - this 'older lady' thinks it's pretty horrible.

Petrine · 19/11/2023 16:17

I’m an older woman and I wouldn’t wear it.

I think it’s shapeless and certainly not stylish or classic.

RedPandaFluff · 19/11/2023 16:32

That's a solid "no" then Grin

And sorry, I didn't express myself correctly, I meant I normally go for plain/classic clothes and this coat definitely isn't, so I could be making a mistake - I didn't mean that I think this is 'classic', it's a lot more trendy than I normally go for.

I don't know why I like it but I do Blush

I'd wear it if I was very slim and tall and lived in Scandinavia. And had many coats.

GasDrivenNun · 19/11/2023 17:05

No it looks very 'uncool' even for someone older.

Char65 · 20/11/2023 14:38

if you want a coat that keeps you warm then it'll probably do the trick but if you want to look stylish then no its not for me, it has no shape and looks like a sleeping bag. Sorry😐

wildwestpioneer · 20/11/2023 14:43

I know these coats must be warm and practical but they never look very stylish to me.

Mayhemmumma · 20/11/2023 14:47

I really like the black version!
