Christmas work night out (mid-30s)

Hi all

I need some inspiration for an outfit for a work’s Christmas night out. We’ll be out in a big city, going for dinner then to bars afterwards.
I absolutely cannot handle high heels so chunky heeled boots are the best I’ll get 😂

I’m 36, 5’4” and size 8-10. Day to day I’m usually in skinny jeans, shirt / blouse tucked in, or jumper with Chelsea boots. I do love a bit of sparkle at Christmas and have been looking at some sequin dresses to wear with tights and boots but is that a bit naff?
Any other inspiration beyond “jeans and a nice top”?

@Midnight2290 I absolutely love the idea of that but instantly the thought terrifies me as it’s so far from what I wear 😂always wanted to try wide leg trousers. definitely something my sister in law would wear and look amazing in and I’d wonder how I could pull it off!
