Extra comfy holy grail trews!

I love jeans, but with IBS and weird sensitivities to a lot of clothing I tend not to wear them too often. I don't like dresses or skirts.

I like to look fairly ordinary, with nice touches (cashmere, etc) so don't go for obvious trends. I prefer mid rise to high and love tapered legs. I am struggling at the moment to update my winter things. I have one pair of jeans, some cords that are irritating, and my ever comfy sweaty betty gary's (slightly cropped and tapered loose yoga pants).

I would love something like the Gar'y but maybe for winter, that could be dressed up or down. Joggers and thick jersey don't do it for me and make me look like a sausage.

I thought I could solve this issue by buying jeans a size up, but the resulting fabric at the hips looks dreadful. I don't want a chunky waist with tons of elastic so can't find a solution that is as comfy as my PJ's - but obviously smarter!

How about these from Toast? I've got the wider leg jersey trousers and could quite happily live in them, so these are on my Christmas list. I'd style them with a slouchy cashmere jumper or the cashmere-silk T-shirt I've just ordered from Loop.

Following as I'm similar!

Ooh, both suggestions look lovely, thank you! I am often put off Toast as the trousers can often drown women under 5'8. Maybe tapered would mitigate that a bit (I am 5'5).

You know that feeling when you are getting dressed to nip out and you just want to slide into something easy and soft but also decent? These are my holy grail trousers, or jeans. Jeans can be buttery soft and lovely when they fit in a special way, but I think that happens to most of us only once or twice in a lifetime Grin

Robell

Can very much recommend these /

Feel like a jogger but can very much masquerade as something smarter.
Mine are old and have been absolutely bullet proof to wash and wear again and agin and still look like new!

Robell do also do this well.

These are great, typical M&S sell out in short sizes!

I have a grey tapered pair from BAM - I have a lot of their stuff and find it comfy and it wears well. Can be pricey but they have good sales. One on at the moment I think
