Flat shoes to wear with wide leg trousers

I've just bought some lovely navy wide leg trousers for work, but I'm really stuff on what type of flat shoes I could wear with them. For casual, I'd go for trainers, but these are not suitable for my workplace. I am toying with my Hamble oaks, but just not sure they'll right.

What type of flares are you wearing with wide legs please, when you you can't get away with trainers?

I think the trick to flat shoes with wider leg is a bit narrower toe. Not pointed necessarily, but almond shaped. The Clark's Sarafyna Iris is a bit narrower.

If you can do a bit of a heel, a stacked loafer looks nice.

Thanks mdinbc. I agree on the stacked loader, but I quite get past the fact that I wore them at school back in the 90s!

I wear my wide leg jeans with flat Mary Jane ballet shoes when they are weather appropriate.
