Dress or skirt to wear with boots.

I bought these boots recently and absolutely love them (cognac colour). I'm looking for a nice midi length skirt or dress to wear with them. Pretty open to any colour or pattern, but can't bear polyester or viscose next to my skin (not so important for a skirt but is for a dress.)

Any suggestions? Mainly for work but not particularly formal.

Take your pick from above styles and colours. Have chosen natural fabrics.

How "shaped" is this? Looks quite straight on the picture & I'd prefer a bit more fitted.

I like the knitted dresses but I worry about overheating (lucky enough to rarely feel cold). I wasn't that taken with the Lilysilk skirt but the shop is fabulous! Very tempted to go for a silk shirt so thanks for posting that one.

Great thread. I have some new boots (conker coloured), and almost all of these suggestions would work for those as well.

That's what I thought too.

To be honest whenever I wear knitted dresses or skirts with boots I don’t feel overheated so I wouldn’t worry there. Just wear lower denier opaque tights (or wool tights) too.

It gives fit details in the details part but no reviews yet which is a pity as they sometimes say.

I've gone for the Celtic dress in Icelandic Blue and another dress on that site. Also got a silk blouse from Lilysilk. Tempted by the Bruar skirt as I bet that would feel lovely.

Inspired by another updated thread where an OP reported back on a dress she had her eye on that has now been returned, thought I'd let you know how i got on.

I had to send the Celtic and Co dresses back as they were huge. I'm a size 10, haven't lost weight or anything and they completely swamped me. The woollen dress was pretty shapeless as a PP suggested it might be. I think even with a better fit it would have been the same.

I did get a nice dress from Sugarhill Brighton (although DD1 asked if I was auditioning for Little House on the Prairie....)

I bought the silk blouse from Lilysilk which is absolutely gorgeous! So thanks for that recommendation @GonnaGetGoingReturns
