Help me find a bra that works! 😫

So, after never having a properly fitted bra as a youth (thanks for the support mum 😂), bfing two kids, and some yo-yoing between sizes 0-12 over the years, at the grand old age of 40 my boobs are finished

Think Magda off Something About Mary. Yeah, That Bad..😬🤣😭

SO, since stopping bfing DD2 I've been searching for comfy bras that give the support I need, and dont feel like torture devices,

It's not gone well.

The last one I tried (non-wired tshirt bras from Tu) had weird-shaped wide straps that dug into my shoulders and caused a pinched nerve and muscle spasms all the way up my neck. Had a week off work laying in bed dosed up on diazepam -over a bra! ffs 🤦🏻‍♀️😭

So here I am, throwing myself and my saggy chest at the mercy of MN.. Please help me find a bra!

I measure 36" and am a c-cup. I've measured and re-measured, and had my mum and a lingerie shop worker confirm using different tape measures.
However as we all know, every shop seems to just make up the sizes as they go along.. M&S come up big, H&M come up small, Primark sizes are just completelyfuckinginsane, etc etc..

I prefer smooth bras you can wear under tshirts, and do not want underwire (auto-immune arthritis sufferer; wire is not my friend) -apart from that, open to any and all suggestions.

Thanks in advance :)

I can guarantee you are going for the wrong size. Have you tried Boob or Bust to get an accurate size?

CoffeeWithBrownSugarIsBetter · 14/11/2023 14:07

The lady in the lingerie shop measured me as per BoB advice, tight snug standing etc (forget the rest)

Anything smaller than a 36" and I cant breathe so I'm sure that measurement is right. Cup size could be off though

Def measure yourself using boob or bust. And then look at their recommendations on styles to suit you.
What dress size are you? I'm a 16 and still a 34 band

I'm a G-cup, but I have also struggled with finding good bras. I came across an American brand last year, called Glamorise. I love their front-closing bras, they are so comfortable, and they make my boobs look great.

I have also bought some similar front-closing bras on Amazon - they are good, too, but Glamorise bras are of better quality, IMO.

Love cloud by Victoria's Secret -£45 a pop but my god the most comfortable bra I've ever owned.

Snag bras are doing it for me, normally I am a 38gg but the full cup non wired bra is so comfortable and feels supportive!
