Can I talk about my dress? A thread to celebrate recent purchases we’re happy with

I bought this from REISS a couple of months ago. I have since worn it for a job interview (styled with court shoes and blazer), a winter wedding with heels and statement bag and more casual pub meals with boots and black denim jacket. I love it.

So versatile as the colour means it can be dressed up easily but the style works for casual and also office. I do a lot of presentations (and will do in new job which I got!! 😀) and it exactly meets the brief of a bright block colour which is always recommended. Such a perfect winter dress for me. I thought it’d be nice to have a thread to celebrate our clothes that make us happy

I've been looking for a 3/4 length informal non-puffer coat to wear over midi dresses with boots. I was resigned to spending about £300 as coats are silly prices these days.

on Monday I found an Ilse Jacobsen Hornbæk coat in JL. It's fully waterproof, it's got a nice big hood and it fits on the shoulders (I'm narrow framed but big busted so coats that fit over the chest often are ridiculously big in the shoulders). It's a muted dark indigo with a subtle black animal print. It's slim fit and I bought a size up so I can wear a lightweight down jacket under it when it gets cold.

It was exactly what I wanted and I was even more delighted to discover it only cost £62! And when I got home I looked at the label more closely and discovered that it was originally priced at £202!

I very much felt I was winning at life that day. I am going to look so chic when it rains.

I'm looking for a velvet or sequin jacket to wear with smart jeans. I'm in the warm spring palette so not black or very dark navy. Please can anyone help?

I recently bought this Corduroy skirt which I am living in. I had been looking for a long black skirt with some structure to smooth down my wobbly bits. It ticks all the boxes. I'm even going to wear it to my works Christmas party, glammed up with a sheer top.

I'm going to stalk that 4th & Reckless coat now.

Recently got this teddy cardigan from h&m, and I've been living in it. It's smart enough to wear to the pub, warm enough as a car jacket, easy to dress up or down. Love it (looks better in the pics at the bottom of the page)

Never thought I'd like them but I saw these trousers cropped leather straight leg recommended on Instagram and for £40 I thought I'd try them. I absolutely live in them now, as I'm finding my peri-tummy doesn't get on well with jeans. They're comfy, flattering and make even the most boring jumper feel like an outfit.

I love the colour, not so much the style but I'm sure you look gorgeous with it.

@anon2022anon ASOS have a size 14 if that’s any help (I’d say size down one size and it’ll still be nicely oversized)
