…low rise jeans! And I LOVE them! They aren’t for every day wear, they’re for wearing with certain things, but I love how they look. They’re skinny (sorry Gen Z!) and I know lots of people hated them the first time round but I’m glad they’re sneaking back!

Is there anything you’ve been pleased to see back? A peplum top or a chunky necklace?!

I only wear low rise jeans as I hate anything tight across my stomach. They're so much more comfortable, i'm also happy that wide/flare jeans and trousers are back.

I've seen fashions come, go and come back around again but op, I think you've hit on just about the only trend I dread returning (although I'm sure it will at some point).

Last time it drove me to dresses.

Still at least I'm retired now so won't have to deal with the sight of my manager's arse crack every day.

I was pleased to see oversize tailoring back, which I know makes me an S&B pariah but I have disproportionately narrow shoulders so jackets and blazers rarely fit well. but at least for the moment I can make it look deliberate.

You didn't ask this but what I'd really like to see come back are some of the iconic early 60s hair-dos like the beehive and the flick-up. The beehive is probably too high maintenance to ever be more than a retro look (and all the back combing must be terrible for your hair) but it gives you such presence. The flick up is just an inverted bob so would be straightforward. I don't have enough hair myself to do either, otherwise I would.

You need a nice lower back tattoo to have a truly authentic 1990s feel to your outfit.

What tops are you wearing them with?

I have a pair of low rise flares which look amazing, but far too much torso is out and it looks weird. I think I’m too used to high waists.

Op, please tell me where you got the low rise jeans from! I hate high rise with a passion. I’m too short and they come up to my ribs and make me look awful.
I spent a whole day in my local city last week and the only shop with low rise was urban outfitters. And they only do clothes for tall skinny people so that’s me out.
Vinted has lots but again all long leg length

I spent my 20s not understanding my body shape was hourglass and not realising I actually had a small waist (it was just high up) because of these bastards.

I once in desperation cut the waist band off one pair of old jeans and sewed it above the waistband of a new pair of jeans just to achieve something like a normal rise on me. Surprisingly, it worked out ok!

Mine were so low and I used to wear a short and unbuttoned at the bottom shirt. That's nostalgia

I got some from Vinted! Quite a few pairs on there. Mine are Hollister and they’re a 30 leg

I am considering leggings which are making a comeback. Used to love tight black leggings then moved on so this is a real surprise .

I just bought a velvet dress, which when I was around 5 was the height of party attire. Bring on Christmas!

Loved low-risers. I have an early Noughties tramp stamp, wore diamanté thongs & tiny tees. And teeny little handbags!

Now I wear M&S high-waisters & Bridget Jones pants…

@Theheffalump first time around wasn't Britney et al ... nothing is ever new 😃The 1960s and 1970s had their own versions too but I don't remember anything older than that as I'm not that old😃 It's like all the youngsters in their parachute trousers now !
