New haircut looks like a wig

I’m not sure what’s going on here. But I had a haircut (from very long) to chin length. But it looks odd and I can’t explain why?

It kind of looks a bit like a wig?

Is it because my hair is very thick? What should I say to my hairstylist?

I went back and had it thinned out massively. I wanted to show you the difference it’s made :)

I think it sits much better and is less like “Lego hair”.

It feels super thin now haha but it looks good. So I am happy with it.

I feel it a bit messy/shaggy looking for my personal taste (I quite like a polished look). But it will grow a little and I think I will really like it when it’s another inch longer.

I have slightly curlier hair than you but a similar length, and have layered the fuck out of it. We’re similar in age so I think we’re of the straighten generation. Curls and waves are fashionable now: embrace it!

Completely agree with embracing the shaggy look. I have curly hair and I certainly don't look less groomed than someone with straight hair. It's really lovely now OP.

Doesn't need an undercut, imo that's what hairdressers do when they can't shape hair properly,but needs proper shaping and 'deep cutting' at the ends,it's an unfinished cut at the moment.
