Grey and dark blonde... what to look for in style photos

I have wavy hair, shoulder length, dark blonde. I got it highlighted and cut/dried wavy until a few months ago when I was unwell and haven't had it highlighted since about March. Recently I have noticed the roots are greyer but I still have some highlights (warm blonde and reddish tones) on the ends.
I quite like the roots as it's definitely streaks not fully grey and I tried to look for photos to show my hairdresser but all the photos of "grey with highlights" come up with people dying part of their hair to be more grey.
What should I look for to find pictures? To clarify I think I may want some more highlights, but to show off the grey, and not ash blonde as that doesn't really suit me.
I may however just want to grow out the highlights and leave it streaky grey!

I'm not sure I want to add grey/ash blonde - I want to work out what goes with what I've got if that makes sense. I just got the same pictures if I google "grey highlights" i.e. people who have added more grey.

I can't seem to get a good photo, plus the back is hard to photograph but here's the hairline (where most of the grey is - it doesn't look that grey in the photo but it's a bit greyer than it looks) and the colour of the highlights that are on the ends/through the sides.

Oh OP. I could have written this. I have a hair appointment booked this week and I know I want something adding / changing but I don't know what. My colours / grey sound just like yours.

I wonder if they leave the roots alone and tone the old highlights to match the colour of the roots?
