What are these face blotches?

Hi there, for as long as I remember I've got these blotches on my face after showering. They seem to fade during the day.

The photo shows my lower cheek.

I use a face soap in the shower (clay based, from Benamor) and then a Dr Jart moisturiser. But I've used lots of other products and had the same blotches.

They're not a big deal to me, I'm just curious as to why I get them.

The photo doesn't do them justice, they're more distinct, circular, and slightly purplish in real life.

Heat sensitivity? I used to get blotchy skin after a bath but this helps and I've not noticed it as much since using it.

Also zinc and castor oil calms any skin reactions I do get on my face/body down.

I think it just looks like surface blood vessels that have become engorged in the warmth of the shower.You’re very fair, so the vessels are easier to see. See if they go away with a cool compress. The skin integrity looks very good. Assuming it’s not itchy or anything.
