I've just turned 35. Totally neglected myself for years but I'd like to start putting myself first.

This is my forehead. I have some large pores and fine lines coming in. This was with a flash on the photo so it's not as bad in real life ifykwim.

Any help on what I need to be using or routines would be greatly appreciated! I've looked on boots but I don't know what half of the terms mean Or what goes with what.

Thank you ladies 🥰

Please help fix my forehead 🙏

I've also got similar skin on my cheeks in terms of pores. I'd say my skin type is normal perhaps slightly dry. I don't get spots apart from the odd on my period.

I think that’s just what peoples skin looks like in real life?
you can try retinol and using acids for exfoliation etc. That may reduce the appearance, make sure you moisturise well etc. But beyond cosmetic procedures you’re gonna have lines and pores

In terms of cost, the most I'd spend is probably £25/30 on a product incase that's relevant. I have nothing though so need to start from scratch

I am a similar age and have similar looking skin. I saw a skin specialist as part of a spa day I had and she said that my skin was good for my age, so I imagine the same is true for you :)

Her recommendations for me were Vitamin C serum, Collagen eye cream and Retinol. I have been trying this for the last few months and do think my skin looks more 'glowy' and smooth. I am just using the cheapest versions that Boots sell. Vit C and collagen in the morning with spf 50, at night either an old eye cream that I am using up with a garnier rose moisturiser, or 2-3 times a week hyaluronic acid followed by (once totally dry) retinol. I am also exfoliating and then using a Garnier coconut facemask once a week.

The other thing is making sure you are drinking enough water each day.
