Really nice, men's T shirts

I want to get some nice T shirts for DH's birthday. He currently wears M&S but I'd like to treat him to something that feels a bit more luxurious (as far as a T shirt can!). Any suggestions for where to get good quality, decent thickness, cotton T shirts (that won't gain dishrag looks too quickly)? Many thanks!

I bought DP one from PJ Pan recently - it’s thick and washes well (so far). It was around £40 (and a close call between them and Hamilton Hare). Community Clothing is cheaper but next on the wish list.

I read an article about the T-shirts in 'The Bear' recently.

Sunspel. They don't necessarily look exciting, but went you put them on I notice the quality. And they last well. (They do men's and women's.)

If you want something unusual try here

I have one and it's beautiful. Very well made and I can guarantee no-one will have an identical one.

Carhartt are fantastic quality
( I have 2 here for presents!)
Around £30 each
Otherwise Superdry orange label( no logos and wash and wear really well)

Percival wash brilliantly (and if they're good enough for Harry Styles....😀).
All saints are also good quality.

Im going to throw in a wildcard but don't be fooled by the cheap price. Firelabel wholesale you can buy them individually and not in bulk. Excellent quality, tubular body shape no side seams, thick cotton in tons of different colours. Like proper band t-shirts but plain. I like the Gildan or Russell Athletic brands.

DH wears All Saints or Paul Smith. Both look good, feel nice and wash well. Middle of road price.

A voucher for Son of a Tailor is a nice gift, not cheap but amazing quality my OH loves them

Land's End Super Ts are nice - DH has loads! There is usually an offer to be found for 40 or 50% off.

bingohandjob · 11/11/2023 22:46

Sunspel, Finisterre and Community Clothing.

BigBoysDontCry · 11/11/2023 22:48

DS likes the basic ones from Abercrombie and Fitch. Plain colours and only a tiny logo but they are really soft and don't have tags on the neck which are great as he has some sensory issues. I think they are around £20 but I often pick them up in sales. Wash really nicely and don't twist.

ducktape · 12/11/2023 07:13

DH got given the heavyweight ones from carhartt as a gift and now won't wear anything else. For those that said community clothing, are the men's t shirts better than the womens? I bought a women's white t and was very disappointed, the material was too thin and a bit see through

I’ve found socks like these with a cotton inner layer to be perfect for long hikes—they keep your feet comfortable and help prevent blisters. The wide top is a bonus, especially if you don’t like that pinched feeling around your calves.Funny enough, last summer I paired some sturdy outdoor socks with a Hawaiian shirt for a camping trip. I know it’s not the usual outdoor gear, but I had a custom one made with my dog’s face on it, and it turned into the ultimate conversation starter around the campfire. It made the trip so much more fun and gave everyone a good laugh.
