Would this be ok for a funeral?

I have this dress already and trying to avoid spending more money! It’s dark navy rather than black, and wondering if the style would be appropriate funeral attire? I also have a matching cardigan to wear with it.

yes it would look lovely.

It's fine.

In this weather (UK) maybe with a black cardigan.

TicTacNicNak · 10/11/2023 22:01

Yes, with a cardigan or jacket this will be perfect. It's a good length and not revealing. Very smart actually.

My condolences OP as you've obviously lost someone to need this.

Holidayhell22 · 10/11/2023 22:02

Yes completely fine.

MyDogNala · 10/11/2023 22:04

Thanks everyone. It’s my great aunt who was 103 so she had a good innings.

Just remember, going forward you will think of this as 'the funeral dress'.

Not necessarily! I've got a dress (navy with a fairly muted small flower pattern) which has served for a wedding, funerals and work purposes.

As others have said, that dress should be fine OP.

MyDogNala · 10/11/2023 22:31

That’s fine, I rarely leave the house, let alone have a reason to wear a posh frock so by the time I might need it again the funeral will have been a very long time ago.

Perfectly fine.
