Comfy, non-granny shoes?

Hi all,
I have some nice shoes but the only ones I actually wear are my old, dirty Skechers as they are the only shoes that don't hurt my feet. I have really high arches and bone spurs on the tops of my feet. I'm also a bit hyper mobile so can't wear heels higher than 3 in.
Anyone know some styles of shoe that offer good arch support, are under £100 and won't embarrass DD to be seen with me? :)
Trainers would be good but I also need a non-trainer shoe. Anything without straps or backs just falls off my feet so fully enclosed or ankle fastening is best. I would love to not be frumpy for once. Are lace up ankle boots in?

There are absolutely loads of shoes/ boots/ trainers by Skechers if they work for you.

I've got gammy feet too, high arches, unstable ankles and poor conformation generally. I went to a chiropodist who made me custom inserts for my shoes. Works really well for me. I just rip out the existing insole and put mine in. For sandals I find vionics are really comfortable, they aren't cheap, but I would rather has fewer pairs that I can wear in comfort.

I have fussy feet. The only good looking shoes I found are Fly London wedges.

Hotter works for me - you need to choose styles carefully but I get lots of compliments on the boots I have from there. The wide fittings will fit an orthotic insole.

I like Skechers too - why not just replace them?

Decathlon trainers are also excellent, and cheap. So you can have lots of colours!

pray tell of the granny shoe? i thought the loss of BHS had finished them off?

(the shoes not the grannies)

Most grannies i know wear sandals, leather boots or birks. Like me, a middle aged version with no kids Grin

Sorry, forgot sketchers, comfy so they say.
cant think of a shoe that would embarrass a teen. maybe ask natashadancing..
