Stylish coats for Y6

My DD (10, year 6) has just cried leaving the house because the long coat we bought for this winter is not cool and, in her words, she'll be laughed at because she's not one of the popular kids.

Leaving aside the ongoing discussions on being okay with yourself and not GAF about other people's views, please can I have some advice on what's in this year and where to shop?

Ideally we'd get this sorted over the weekend in a real shop (not online or vinted) as DD is tall for her age and sensitive to how clothes feel and fit.

Kids can be so bloody horrible. Not even secondary school yet.

Have a look at New Look. When my daughter was in year 6, lots of girls got their coats there and it still seems ‘acceptable’ now she in year 10.

...... They do others without the faux fur if that would irritate her. Also try H&M if she doesn’t like anything at New Look. They’re always my 2 ‘go to’ stores on the high street for tweens/teens. Good luck.

It pains me to see her like that; she's got an awesome group of friends and is still being hit with this crap. It's so unnecessary.
