Black dungarees

After years of worrying that I'm too old, I've bitten the bullet and I've just bought a pair of black denim dungarees from Vinted. However, I have no idea what footwear to wear them with this time of year. Can anyone help? I'm 54 if relevant.

Boots or trainers woul look good

I have a pair of dark blue denim dungarees and they are a little cropped (7/8 length) and I wear them just with trainers on warmer/dryer days, and chunky-soled boots when it's wet

Thank you both. What style of trainers do you think? Something sporty or more of a fashion trainer? And do I go for black or a colour? I don't want to look like a children's TV presenter!

Love black dungarees. I currently have dark blue and just wear my Stan Smiths with them. They're white with a red back. I personally wouldn't wear black trainers with them as I'd like the contrast to show. But that's my opinion of course. I bet they look great.
