Tret

I'm 3 months into dermatica and my cream is treat and azelaic acid.

In the last couple of days I've started getting a stinging sensation around my chin. It feels like hot fat as in it stings an then goes and the it stings somewhere else. It only lasts about 3 or 4 minutes but it's annoying.

Anyone have any idea what's happening, the rest of my face is fine.

I find that happens when I use a new tube and/or if I’m a bit rough when washing my face. It can also happen if I’ve been out in the cold or heat.

That said, it’s not unusual for it to happen, particularly with AA.

Keep an eye on it, it could be perioral dermatitis. It might be worth buffering the area around your chin by applying a layer of moisturiser there before you apply your tret formula.

When my face starts to sting with my tretinoin then I just use a different serum and after 2/3 days I'm back on the tret again.

I never apply tret if my face is stinging

I like using other products

Tonight for example I applied No 7 Future renew serum followed by Discipline Dreamy skin (which has a mild retinol in oil formula) or instead of the oil I'll use one of many moisturisers. Like the M&S Ultimate sleep cream which I've started using as my skin is a bit drier now it's winter

I tend to sting around my eyes so I feel it when I'm removing my makeup and my face is very clearly telling me it's a no Tret night
