Fabulous flares... but what to wear with them?

My DH got me two beautiful pairs of flares for my birthday, but I need ideas and hints as to what might go well with them. And hope you lovely lot can help.

Since children I've put on a bit of weight, so clearing out my wardrobe and will have space for a few new tops and maybe new boots (with a bit of a heel).

I'm looking for ideas for day and evenings out please. I'm a size 10 on top, and 12 bottom. Suit deep colours like teal, ochre, greens etc or crisp ivory. I have dark hair, light olive skin.

Why would you need something different to what you would normally wear with your bottom half? I understand different footwear, but the same t-shirts and jumpers work don't they? Being serious as I bought three pairs of cord flares and haven't changed tops.

I've changed sizes, my existing stuff is looking tatty and some of it is a longer line - which I don't think suits high waisted flared jeans.

I'm after a bit of a style refresh really!

Fair enough. I'm sure some bright spark will be along to guide you. I hate shopping so very rarely do it.
