Hi, i have been using tret (I think that’s what it’s called from skin and me) love the results it’s bringing but my skin is feeling a little dry. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a night cream to follow?
Not particularly got a budget in mind just something that works well beside it.

On the nights I use tret I don't put anything else on my skin. Rest of the time I use Cetaphil night cream and really like it. It feels rich and calming on my skin and is affordable.

it's this one

Cetaphil Rich Night Cream 50g - Boots

I use Nivea night , cheap as chips and does the job

APurpleSquirrel · 03/11/2023 11:15

Aldi's Nivea Q10 Night cream dupe - it cost £1.49.

Skinhero · 03/11/2023 12:43

Thank you all.

Another coming to say the Aldi Nivea dupe. And their serum. They are amazing on my (54!) post-menopause skin.

Skinhero · 03/11/2023 13:04

Do you all use tret? And do you use it every day? I’ve never had dry skin and was wondering if I’m using it too much.

How do you all cope with moisturising at night? Do you not find that it gets all over the pillows? It puts me right off

APurpleSquirrel · 03/11/2023 14:43

@IDoNotMoisturise yes some will come off on the pillow, but it washes out.

Re. using the Tret - I've only been using it for about 6 weeks. I use every other night (0.25%) and I've definitely noticed some dryness/redness but it's manageable and I'm seeing an improvement overall so going to stick with it. I find I have to be very careful around my eye area otherwise my eyes really run and itch.

Re. the cream getting all over my pillow - I tend to do my face routine well before bedtime, so that I can just fall into bed without having to do anything (and as I brush my teeth at the same time, it stops me snacking too!) so by then all creams have pretty much sunk in.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 03/11/2023 14:49

I must check my local Aldi for that Nivea dupe!

TheFlis · 03/11/2023 15:01

Another rec for the Aldi one. I was using that, then when I ran out moved onto a Clarins one I was given as a gift. It really was no better than the Aldi version.

happyl · 03/11/2023 15:13

what's the Aldi dupe cream called?

KirstenBlest · 03/11/2023 15:40

Lidl Cien Q10 Day Cream
they also do the serum, and that's nice

stayathomer · 03/11/2023 15:42

Another for Cetaphil, that and their face wash are amazing!!

Skinhero · 03/11/2023 15:48

@stayathomer i have just ordered the face wash this morning. Looking forward to trying it, I’ve heard a lot of good about it!

Skinhero
Enjoy!! The one with the blue pump is my actual lifeline- does the job no matter where my skin is at and makes me feel human again!!

BMrs · 03/11/2023 16:13

Add a couple of drops of glycerine to your moisturiser, it's amazing! I have used tret for a could of years and seen this mentioned loads. When the weather turned I started to get a bit fry again around my mouth so ordered (and is dirt cheap). Been using about three weeks and never had s dry spot since
