MASSIVE jumper - Uniqlo

I ordered this Soft Knit High Neck jumper online. It arrived today and it's MASSIVE. It is meant to be relaxed fit, which is what I wanted but it's just so wide.
I am 1 inch shorter than the models on the website and ordered S which is what they are modelling so it really shouldn't look that different.
I'm disappointed. I've got a lot of things from Uniqlo and I've always been pleased.
Maybe if I looked all mysterious and model like it would look better, but it just looks like I'm wearing something that doesn't fit me!

It does look pretty wide tbh, it doesn’t look like it fits the model well at all. Looks like she’s been sat on the floor with it pulled over her knees.

It's ugly, but sorry you are dissatisfied, Uniqlo take about 10 days to deliver too which is annoying

CharlotteBog · 02/11/2023 22:23

Eh! Who's side are you on 😜

Oh dear, that's annoying. The reviews seem to be saying it's big. Did you do the best fit indicator? I've found it pretty accurate. Will you bother with a re-order?

Actually this was quick. I ordered on Tuesday and it arrived today (Thursday).
Returns are easy. I wanted something longer to wear with my skinny jeans and my short skirt.

Just to say, I got a delivery to store because it's free and it arrived really quickly if that's an option? Quicker exchange perhaps.

Spirro · 02/11/2023 22:27

They charge you to send it back as well. Even if you’re returning it because the size isn’t accurate.

I didn't do the best fit, no. An XS would be too short on the arms.
I'll return and get something else. I have a few of their souffle knits which look really lovely for a while but do get a bit tatty after a lot of wear, unlike a good quality lambswool.

It's OK, I just needed a moan.

No. I'm near Cambridge and there's no store there.

Uniqlo jumper shrink, if that helps? I always size up, they always fit fine after a wash or two.

Yes, that's the downside of internet shopping. Cheaper than driving and parking etc though I suppose.

I've never found that to be the case. I won't try that with this one, because I definitely won't be able to return it once it's washed!

I bought a jacket in a size small from Uniqlo on sale and it's so big I am going to have to send it to the charity shop! I am a 14-16 for reference. So disappointing, but some of their stuff is massive. Most of my Uniqlo stuff is size Medium.

Funnily enough I’ve been looking for a truly vast jersey; think fluffy marquee. With heaters.

Ended up with a man’s 4xl cashmere v neck which does the trick of being warm but very airy. As long as your thin bits stick out - wrists, neck, ankles - they’re not too overwhelming.

I loathe clothes that fit to the body, tho. Might try yours too, OP. Thanks! Good luck with the return.

That made me laugh! I'm imagining wee stick hands and a neck poking out from a vast jumper!

I have literally just washed a 'boxy T' from Uniqlo which is basically the size of a tent. I did the size indicator and everything. But the entire family could camp in this particular top. Sometimes they're just bonkers. I now won't buy anything boxy or oversized from them.
