Is is party clothes time yet?

Has anyone bought any Christmas party clothes yet?

I am looking for something in pine green in lovely material that makes me feel effortlessly elegant - though I am a busty size 12 so that may just stay in my imagination 😅

I spent this morning's commute looking for silk shirts or jumpsuits with long legs and no frills and came up with nothing. Do you think it's too early?

The rest of MN has been shopping for Christmas party clothes for the last six weeks. Grin

Where’ve you been?

It's wall to wall sequins in M&S today, super sparkly.

How about something from here:

Oops! I did a quick scan of S&B and didn't see any threads. Hopefully someone else has already found the good bits 😁

I’ve just bought this to wear to MIL’s annual Christmas do. Not sure it effortlessly elegant, but it’s green and flattering. I went to a party last week and realised I had no dresses that looked good on my new perimenopausal shape. Ended up in a denim dress, feeling very dowdy.

I've bought this dress too. It really is flattering and I love the colour which is nicer irl than on the website. Planning to wear it on Christmas Day.

I love teal. It's the colour that suits me most I was told.

I like the velvet dress - might have a trip to M&S to try it on. I am quite hourglass so the waist might be too high on me though.
I don't fancy sequins because they don't feel lovely on - I like fabrics that feel really nice and fluid.
The silk short would be great without the dots. Where do people buy silk tops? I have an ancient one from White Company which is great but I fancy jewel colours.
