Waterproof trainers

Having got very wet feet walking to the office yesterday, I'm looking for a pair of comfortable, but waterproof, smartish trainers for work (smartish, as I tend to leave them on all day but I do have actual smart shoes in my locker should the need arise).

Any suggestions? Preferably no more than £100 and I'm really not fussed on brand or if they're perceived as 'in'!

I bought some waterproof Skechers the other day

Very comfortable, although at the top end of your budget!

I have not tested them in rain yet, but work at a swimming pool and am yet to get wet feet!

Thanks! I've had sketchers before, and do find them comfy. Although I did initially read this as you wearing them IN the swimming pool and was wondering what on earth you were doing 😆

Have a look in Clarks. They have black trainer-style shoes that are waterproof and good for work.

I’ve got these Mammut ones from Go Outdoors. They’re £135 so over budget but I walk miles in them and they are comfortable and waterproof.

While vessi.com is a legit site selling shoes/trainers in various countries, vessyshoeshop.com is very likely to be a scam.

DH put an expensive pair of Goretex trainer/hiking boots to the test in a downpour on holiday and - goretex doesn’t work. Get wellies instead. You can get low rise slip on type ones that look like Chelsea boots. They work!

I got some for DS to walk to college in from Sports Direct, can't remember the brand though. They are plain black and cost £30

Just get trainers that aren’t mesh or spray with a waterproof spray like Crep from Schuh

I was going to buy some Gore tex trainers but just went for the ones I really wanted and waterproof sprayed them. On day with torrential downpours I’ll wear different trainers
