Recommend a floral perfume

I'd like to buy 18yo DD a new perfume for Christmas. She's asked for one but wants a surprise and describes her tastes as "floral, not too out there". She's not keen on very teenagey brands or celeb brands. In the past I've bought her Miss Dior and MJ Daisy and they both went down well.

Fleur Musc by Narciso Rodriguez is a beautifully balanced floral imo. Would be hard to dislike it!

Fleurs de Cerisier by L'Occitane is lovely. It's an eau de toilette though.

Next 'Paradise' is absolutely gorgeous and you can get shower gel etc. Lovely design and reasonable price.

What about the old classic 'Anáis Anáis' - the one now marked 'l'Originale'? I tried it recently in a shop and it is so much nicer and longer lasting than so many of the newer floral fragrances.

We bought my DD a bottle of perfume for her 18th and spent a while trying out different ones to fine her ‘signature’ scent!! We did it together though, so she could choose. I don’t think buying perfumes for someone else is a good/simple idea!

Flower bomb, it's gorgeous it has a spicy background which stops it from being too floral.

Another vote for Gucci Bloom. The bottles are gorgeous as well.

Another vote for Anaïs Anaïs (the original one).

I still wear it occasionally as a daytime perfume and often get asked by strangers what perfume I'm wearing.

It's very affordable these days too.

Flowerbomb is a really good suggestion. There are some nice flankers in the range too.

Anais Anais is lovely, but not as good as it used to be back in the day thanks to changes in formulation.

Diorissimo would be difficult for an 18 year old to carry off, I think. It's very strongly lily of the valley, and a powerful fragrance. I struggle with it and I'm in my 50s.

Flower Market by Replica Maison Margiela is a gorgeous light floral.

Another vote for Gucci Bloom. I wear it but so does my 16 year old daughter . Fresh but got some strength and longevity.

All of my DD's love Flowerbomb, and also some of the special editions of La Vie Est Belle - especially the eau de toilettes as they're less overpowering.
