Or will you start opening in November?

Either way, it's not long now......time to make your choice (s).

Continuing the thread.

Apologies for hijacking the thread with my frustration but I cannot believe it is now 5 days since I complained about my missing Vogue AC and they still have not done anything!

I guess that they may be chasing the courier for information (hopefully!)

It’s shockingly bad…I was tempted, but then after your issues and missing prints…plus not keen on the charity donations ( one in particular)
I can imagine how frustrating this is…really sorry it’s turned out this way. 🌺

Unfortunately, it's likely that DPD will have to conduct an investigation and establish whether the parcel can be retrieved before you get a refund.

Vogue should update you though.

I want a refund because I do not want a “retrieved” parcel (God knows who has opened it, is everything in there? have the products been opened, even used?) and after this mess I do not want the AC anymore. I just want my money back and forget about it. And I do not want to waste any more time in calls and emails nobody replies to.

MidnightMeltdown · 13/11/2023 15:19

@LaBrujaPiruja

Yeah I totally get that. I just mean that they are unlikely to just refund you £350 without first conducting some kind of investigation to establish what's happened.

It's bad that they haven't been in touch though. They should at least let you know what is going on

They can refund me and either claim DPD for the lost parcel or ask them to return the parcel to them if it is found. They were fast to charge me for it! This odissey started on Wed pm!
And they can obviously contact me and explain the options.
Worst customer “service” ever.

MidnightMeltdown · 13/11/2023 15:27

@LaBrujaPiruja

Legally they have 30 days to deliver the parcel to you before you can cancel your order and request a refund.

If DPD find it, they are likely to deliver it to you, not the retailer. It's annoying, but just how couriers tend work

Possimpible · 13/11/2023 15:29

Not to mention that they should be able to investigate before they need to refund, because anyone could turn round and deny receipt of their parcel. We all know you're telling the truth, but lots of people would lie for a refund and keep the goods.

LaBrujaPiruja · 13/11/2023 15:32

Well, I have not received the parcel (and the DPD tracker now shows it) so I can cancel my contract and they have to refund me.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/11/2023 15:35

@LaBrujaPiruja so sorry to read your frustrations!! I've only skimmed this thread as there's so many posts so not sure if anyone's suggested it but if you bought it with a credit card can you get a refund that way? I bought my son a refurbished phone from Amazon last Xmas and it didn't work and the seller refused to refund and Amazon refused to get involved! So I spoke to my credit card (American Express) who were utterly amazing and gave me a full refund within 24 hours. Worth a shot if it's a credit card?

It was PayPal. I will escalate to PP if they don’t refund asap.

Yes but legally, you have to wait up to 30 days before you are entitled cancel your contract and claim a refund.

I sincerely hope that you don't have to wait that long though!

I do not think so. I can cancel my order (at least a poster in this thread cancelled theirs without receiving it).

MidnightMeltdown · 13/11/2023 15:42

It usually takes weeks before a courier will even declare a parcel as 'missing'. They will conduct an internal investigation first, especially for an item of that value

MidnightMeltdown · 13/11/2023 15:43

@LaBrujaPiruja you can try, but the retailer is obligated to refund you until the 30 days is up

LaBrujaPiruja · 13/11/2023 15:47

@MidnightMeltdown
so they were happy to take my £350 in September but they will not refund until December? This will not be happening

Growlybear83 · 13/11/2023 15:49

I would escalate your claim with PayPal. I've always found them very reasonable and quick when I've needed a refund. If conde Nast ignore them, they will find in your favour and refund you.

AprilLady · 13/11/2023 15:54

@LaBrujaPiruja it is ridiculously poor customer service from Vogue. Last year I ordered the Liberty Fragrance calendar after it got reduced. I got a dispatch notice, but it failed to arrive. I contacted Liberty who responded within a day and sent me a new calendar. About two months later, I unexpectedly received a package which turned out to be the missing calendar. So it was clearly a delivery service issue, but Liberty were nevertheless very quick to step in and rectify the problem.

MidnightMeltdown · 13/11/2023 16:01

@AprilLady yes, some retailers are very hot on customer service - Liberty, John Lewis and M&S to name a few.

However, unfortunately there are many's others who will do the minimum that is legally required of them

MavisMcMinty · 13/11/2023 16:06

I ordered a discounted Glossybox Christmas box last year and it was missing three items. They immediately sent me a whole new box and when I asked how to return the incomplete box they told me to keep it with their compliments! I didn’t even particularly want the three items that were missing (and actually when I double-checked there were only two things missing anyway)!

MidnightMeltdown · 13/11/2023 16:22

Yeah, M&S randomly sent me a cashmere jumper once when I'd ordered something totally different. When I contacted customer services they just told me to keep the jumper!

Pinenu · 13/11/2023 16:36

I’d like to add Selfridges to the positive CS list.

Last year I received their AC with various bits missing, products used and incorrect drawers. They asked for photos and refunded it within a day.

Squishmymallow · 13/11/2023 16:40

@LaBrujaPiruja I’m so sorry to hear about what’s happened to you. I think it’s worse because the calendar would have been something you were looking forward to so much and now it’s turned into nothing but stress and disappointment. Even more enraging for you than if it had been a boring parcel of something less exciting! I really hope you get a resolution soon. Have you tried commenting on their social media? Usually elicits quick responses!!

Talisin · 13/11/2023 16:59

Maybe @LaBrujaPiruja can do some sort of Strangers on a Train scenario where I can murder Vogue for her and she can kill Sephora for me. They’ll never see it coming!
