Face filler - no difference?

I had filler in my nasolabial folds a few weeks ago. I do have quite a fat face so they were pretty pronounced. I think I’ve been kidding myself that the effect would get better but a few weeks on I cannot see any discernible difference. Is it just me or is this a common issue? Is it likely that I just need more filler? I don’t really want to waste money on having it topped up if the same thing happens again!!

I haven't had it but the only reason I haven't is because I find people's results for nasolabial folds really underwhelming. My mum, cousin, and a few other acquaintances have had it done and I honestly noticed no difference. When I look at results on social media too, there's a minimal difference - I don't think it's just you if it helps

I know it sounds dramatic but if they are really bothering you and they are quite deep set, I would just save the money and get a mini one stitch lower face lift in the future. It'll be permanent and actually work. Obviously there is risks with that and downtime but tbh there is risk with filler in that area too

It's not the most recommended thing to do now. It used to be the typical approach. Fill the trough... but people end up looking simian. The problem isn't hollows that need filling. It's fullness that has fallen down from above. The better approach is to judiciously use fuller high in the cheek to left the cheek back up but this has its limits too. A face lift is really the only solution to deep nasolabial folds that doesn't leave you looking bloated in a weird way

You should be able to see your filler result instantly @CoolShoeshine

You may find a better result with a touch of filler in your cheeks, which will lift the area.
