I am looking for a foundation which does not look like I have lots of make up on. Today I spoke to a Clinique rep in Boots who recommended Even Better Glow in Cream Chamois. They were out of stock and that also seems to be the same at other Boots and online.

Can anyone recommend a similar product. I am 67, normal skin which can be a little sensitive and trying to cover uneven skin tone, which is probably caused by the harsh sunshine in NZ.

My DM likes Clinique even better glow

Try Boots No 7 Hydraluminous foundation. I use this and I really like it.

Or try Dior, Clarins or Lancôme foundations. I've always liked them but I'm happy with my current one mainly because it's cheaper abs not too dry

I came on to also recommend Boots Hydroluminous range.

Thank you so much. I will have a look at the Boot's one, there were so many brands and types and shades, I had no idea what I was looking for!

It's available online on All beauty.
I tend to order wherever it's cheapest at the time. I use the Even Better in Cream Chamois at the age of 59 & I love it, as it's not too heavy.

I'm not a foundation expert but I like Pat McGrath sublime and find you can put as little or as much as you like without it looking patchy.

I prefer to use a normal foundation but just use a little tiny bit to even things out either buffed in with a brush or blended with a damp sponge. I find that helps a lot with not looking cakey/overly made up. If I use a tint or light foundation, normal amount/application, it somehow still looks thick on my skin even if it’s not high coverage. I also invested in some really hydrating skincare.

Dcypher is amazing, il makiage a close second

FiveShelties · 31/10/2023 09:38

Thank you do much, I have written all these down. I felt quite overwhelmed by all the choices in Boot's.

For a fabulous budget buy try L'Oreal Infallible .. .superglowy but good coverage and lasts.

I second the Dcypher recommendation. Makes all the time I spent peering at shade charts/searching findation/getting samples seem like such a waste!

Nars tinted moisturiser. It’s called a tinted moisturiser but I consider it a light foundation. Nice and glowy but has some coverage too. Lots of shades to chose from.

Viviennemary · 31/10/2023 09:51

I'm not a foundation expert but after doing a bit of research on here and other places I got ester lauder perfectionist foundation which gives medium cover and also ester lauder double wear light which gives a lighter cover. I'm very pleased with these.

3WildOnes · 31/10/2023 10:39

I mix a little bit of foundation with my moisturiser.

gertrudemortimer · 31/10/2023 11:01

I really like Chanel's les beiges water fresh tint. It is very light coverage but gives a really nice finish I wear it mainly during the day but in the summer I use it for evenings too, one pump covers my whole face so it lasts a while. I have some red patches and it blends them in to make it look like my skin is all the same colour without it looking cakey. I also use Clinique even better glow for fuller coverage which I rate highly too.

Hi I use this but can never find the cream chamois shade on cheaper websites.

It's in stock at the moment in allbeauty for around £25.00 for both the Even Better Glow & the Even Better Foundation.

Thank you. The Clinique webiste has offers, there's one now and I've tried to order my eyeliner but they are now charging for postage so that makes the item almost full price anyway.
