Top or dress large bust

I'm looking for a dress or a top that I can wear for casual evenings out but I have no clue what I look nice in. I'm early 40s, size 16, very large bust (36H). Things with buttons are a no-go. I am not fussy about colour or style - I just want something that will suit me. I'd be wearing the top with jeans and I'm unashamedly still a skinny jean wearer. Any help gratefully received!

I am 36G and just bought this - its flattering because it comes in under the bust. Not everyone is a sequin maniac like me though Smile

OP- Except for the skinny jeans, you are describing me exactly!

A V neck is more flattering than other necklines. It makes the eye go up and down the body, rather than across the breasts. The rare top I have without a decent V, I add a long necklace to provide the same effect. I also prefer a 3/4 length arm. What is the budget? I'm far from fashionable, but here are some ideas:

Foil Print V-Neck Button Through Blouse | M&S Collection | M&S (marksandspencer.com)

Elizabeth Printed Wrap Blouse | (hobbs.com) I'm not so keen on the pattern myself, but a wrap top can be flattering

Yumi Sequin Slit Sleeve Top, Black at John Lewis & Partners

I'm a 34g so I get where you're coming from! What about a top like this? And there are some other v neck tops on this site you might like.

I have this in both black and navy - it is really flattering - I usually pop a vest top underneath just in case the neckline falls open a bit.

Thats a lovely top, but isn't a size 42 only a size 14? The OP needs a size 16.

Ihad't spotted that website only had it up to a 42. It is available in sizes up to 46 on the conquista and Wolf & Badger websites and that is an 18/20. I'm a 16 bus (34FF/G) and the 42 fits OK and the 44 well.

@londonmummy1966 Thank you. I might buy it myself 😉

I'd encourage it as it is a lovely top - I like it so much I now have 2 black and 2 blue. Its worth looking around as it pops up on various websites at a range of prices.

Thanks all, some nice ideas here. @londonmummy1966 does that top cling on the tummy area? It's really nice but I worry about bulging everywhere haha.
