Advice for a 40yo still clueless with make up?

I’m terrible with make up. Don’t wear it often which means I go through products slowly and then when I finally need to replace, what I’ve been using has invariably been discontinued!

This has just happened with three products I wanted to rebuy so I thought I’d pick brains here on what to replace them with.

  1. Tinted moisturiser: have been using Mac tinted moisturiser, shade Finland. Now no longer sell it.
  2. under eye concealer: was using benefit ooh la lift but discontinued.
  3. Anti redness cream: was using benefit lemon aid but discontinued

I’m aware that benefit isn’t probably a brand aimed at my age group so thought this could be a chance for a fresh start.

I’d really welcome any recommendations on a brand to go to for both a tinted moisturiser plus foundation which could also offer me concealer products like the above. My skin is in fairly good nic but I can suffer from bags under eyes as well as redness over nose, so looking for something that can help me create an even look.

thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Im similar age and skin type - I swear by Benefit Boi-ing (in the flat silver pot) for under eye and general concealer (I live in fear of it being discontinued!! Clinique Even Better Foundation and then I have recently discovered Trinny London for eyeshadow/blusher/lips - it's foolproof to put on.

I can really recommend IT CC cream for evening skin tone out and covering redness - it was recommended to me on here and I am fully converted.

I like No 7 Hydraluminous foundation. I prefer it to my previous Nars which was similar

I like Laura mercier tinted mosturiser, although I think it gets mixed reviews here!
