I’ve got some wide legged trousers that I was wearing in spring with some suede tan shoes that are too delicate for winter and my walk to work so I need a winter alternative.
I was thinking brogues but there are few around and it seems daft to buy something juts as it’s going ‘out’. (Yes I should buy what I like, but we are talking brown work shoes here. They may as well be fashionable.)
So are brogues still ‘in’? Or would slightly chunky loafers be better? I’d rather not buy boots as they will be more expensive.
Or would something else be better? I just need them to be one step smarter than trainers, not super formal.
