Moths!! How to repel??

Opened my wardrobe this morning to take out a jumper from the dark recesses… and a little brown moth flew out…

if there’s one, are there more?!?

Do I need to get out everything and wash/freeze it or are there other solutions? I don’t particularly want to blitz my room with toxic substances!! On the other hand I want them to go away and not eat my clothes. 🥺

Also, what is best for repelling them in future? I’ve used those cedar balls in the past. Any better options?

I've just got over a major infestation (catching 5 per day) however I used the toxic smoke bombs. I also managed to catch a few using sticky paper. Put the paper inside an old toilet paper roll then inside the wardrobe and you can hopefully catch one or two:

It is most likely the moths have come from something you have put in your wardrobe. Have you bought anything second hand or from a charity shop recently? I bought a dress (bnwt) from e bay but didn't wear it straight away due to pregnancy and the following year found it was the source of moths in my wardrobe. Luckily I didn't have an infestation although the moths had destroyed both that dress and a wool jumper which was stored underneath it. Since you've only seen one moth I'd have a look in the wardrobe for a potential source rather than freeze everything.
