Pinafore dresses? Curvy/petite

I love these pinafore dresses from Nobody's Child https://www.marksandspencer.com/cord-v-neck-mini-shift-dress/p/clp22574303#intid=pid_pg2pip48g4r8c4|prodflag_New

I think I would style it exactly like the model here - but I'm 5ft 4 and a size 14, hourglass figure with small waist and big chest.

Anyone else curvy/petite who wears this style of dress - how do you style it/how does it fit? (And if anyone has this exact dress - how is the sizing?)

Or has anyone seen any style influencers on instagram similar size to me wearing this style? Would love to see some style inspiration before I take the plunge and buy! Still not 100% sure if it will suit my shape.

I've got that dress! I absolutely adore it, but it's too short for me so I'm going to send it back. Like, indecently short.

I'm 5'9" though, so might be perfect on you.

I found it came up a teensy bit small, but not problematically. It was really comfortable.

I'm not a roll/high neck fan, so was planning to style it with more of a blouse/loose style. (Like how this is styled with the big sleeves - but I don't like the button-down style so chose the Nobody's Child one instead).

I don’t have this dress but I wear corduroy pinafores all winter long with tights and a turtleneck. I buy them second hand on Vinted and have found the Tu/Sainsbury’s brand is nice and lasts well.

I have that dress in black. I'm 5 ft 3 and it's a good length for me. I usually wear a 12, sometimes a 10 on top, but the 12 was very baggy on me especially the armholes, so exchanged for a 10.

Ps. I'm not particularly curvy though.

Thanks all! I think I'm going to take the plunge and order it, I may order a 14 and a 16 - I've found with NC their dresses are either too big or too small for me so I can never tell what size!

I'm 5ft 1in, size 8 but with big boobs. A dress like this would do nothing for me because the heavy fabric would hang down from my boobs like a curtain making me look big all the way down. Because it's not fitted round my waist I would look like a barrel on spindles.

I speak from bitter experience. Many years ago a good friend made me something very similar. I thought it would make me look gamine and flirty. I wore it once, realised it made me look like a novice nun and never wore it again.
